A Brush Above Painting

About A Brush Above Painting

Owning a home in the High Country means fighting weather that punishes wood. Mildew, failed caulking and bargain stain turn into rotted logs and siding when nobody catches them early, and owners who live out of town find out last. A Brush Above Painting was built around that problem. Owner Dean Roberts, a Marine veteran, has spent more than four decades painting, staining and repairing log homes and houses around Boone, and he works every job himself with his son Mike.

The fix starts before any finish goes on. Surfaces are cleaned and conditioned first, cure times are respected rather than rushed, and damaged walls, stucco and masonry are repaired instead of painted over. Dean sends daily photo and video updates so absent owners can see the work, and exterior stain jobs carry a written warranty.

Estimates are free and detailed, with senior citizen and military discounts offered. Homeowners from Blowing Rock and Banner Elk to West Jefferson and Lenoir get the same family crew, the same communication and the same cleanup at the end of every job.
