Across its review profiles, the company held over 50 Google reviews with a 4.4-star rating, along with 1.0 stars on Yelp from two reviews and 60% recommended on Facebook across four reviews. The ratings vary sharply by platform, with a reasonably strong Google profile set against much weaker Yelp and Facebook figures that each rest on only a handful of reviews.
Across the reviews we analyzed, the work is exterior ceramic coating rather than standard repainting. Several reviewers describe the coating still holding up 5 to 15 years after application, and a few describe the company returning to touch up specific areas years later. Thorough prep recurs as a theme, with reviewers noting replaced rotted wood, pressure washing, taping, and daily cleanup. Several also note the cost runs higher than traditional paint, weighed against the product’s expected lifespan. The recurring criticism in our sample concerns the warranty, which we cover below.
"We have had our house painted by Rhino Shield approximately 15 years ago. The paint has held up well. The preparation done by the crew was very good so the finished product was well done." - Paul N., Google Review
Advice For Future Customers
Because the coating’s value depends on how it ages, it is worth asking to speak with a customer whose Rhino Shield has been on for several years. One reviewer describes the sales rep providing exactly that kind of reference. On the warranty, more than one reviewer says the headline 25-year figure is narrower than it sounds, describing coverage that applies to the coating material more than to labor and conditions that can void it. Ask them directly: "What exactly does the 25-year warranty cover, in writing?"
"Warranty for labor and paint is only 5 years. The 25 year is for paint material only." - Al S., Facebook Review (no owner reply)
