About Home Sweet Home
Home Sweet Home Painting pairs interior and exterior painting with wood staining and preparation work for homes and commercial spaces in Columbus. Its services include kitchen cabinet painting, furniture, interior doors and windows, along with deck and fence staining. The company also describes drywall repairs and wallpaper removal as part of its broader offering.
The business traces its history to 1985, a date stated on its website and in its BBB business record. BBB identifies William Sutkin as the owner, while customers refer to him as Bill. The company’s About page describes a process that begins with a consultation, continues through preparation and painting, and finishes with a quality check, cleanup and final walkthrough.
Customers describe both individual projects and relationships built over time. Jen Wheels reports a window and door staining job and says she would hire the team again. John Stoneburner describes working with Bill on multiple projects over several years. Joel Kahn describes a much longer working relationship and says the company follows up to check that the finished work is satisfactory.
The company’s staining guidance discusses preparing wood surfaces and protecting them with suitable finishes. Its preparation guidance also covers filling dents and holes, priming walls and arranging help with furniture when needed.
