Mod Paint Works
About Mod Paint Works
High gloss is a deliberate part of Mod Paint Works’ work. The company uses Fine Paints of Europe coatings on doors, trim, cabinets and selected walls, where reflected light makes surface preparation especially noticeable. Its finish descriptions distinguish a mirror-like Hollandlac Brilliant finish from softer satin options, rather than treating every room or surface as the same paint choice.
Cabinet refinishing takes place in the customer’s home. Mod Paint Works describes protecting the surrounding space, using HEPA sanders to contain dust, hand-sanding detailed areas, filling imperfections and applying primers chosen for adhesion and stain blocking. The cabinet finish is sprayed to create a smooth surface without replacing the existing cabinetry.
Exterior projects receive a different set of decisions. The company lists stucco, siding and brick among its surfaces, with washing, scraping, sanding, repairs and priming selected for the existing conditions. For brick, it identifies Romabio mineral and lime paints among its options. Its exterior planning allows for Colorado weather and includes an inspection and cleanup at completion.
Owner Ryan Parker describes painting seasonally in the Vail Valley before returning to Denver and eventually making painting his full-time business. Today, Mod Paint Works offers interior, exterior, cabinet and specialty finish work from Centennial, serving Denver and nearby communities including Cherry Hills Village, Greenwood Village, Lone Tree and Highlands Ranch.
