The company earned a Chooz Score of 89.8%. It is fully insured, and one reviewer describes the company honoring its guarantee to correct an issue after the job was finished. The business has run as a family-owned Raleigh operation since 2000, has been Accredited with the Better Business Bureau since 2024, and is registered in North Carolina as NC Business Entity No. 2295203. Owner Kevin Cook serves Raleigh and the surrounding Wake County communities.
The reviews here run unusually long and detailed, walking through full exterior repaints, wood rot and siding repairs, and interior work in step-by-step accounts. We found at least ten reviewers describing repeat projects or plans to hire the company again, several across multiple years. The owner replies to nearly every review individually, naming the writer and referencing the specific job. That mix of long, specific reviews and personal owner replies makes them read as first-hand accounts rather than generic praise.
"We had the entire lower floor of our home painted--ceiling, walls and trim. Sergio and his crew were punctual, professional, and extremely neat. They took great care in protecting our furniture and floors. Kevin, the owner, stopped by every morning to check on things and make sure we were happy." - Diane, Google Review
Advice For Future Customers
Because CPM handles carpentry and wood rot repair in-house alongside painting, it is worth asking them to check for rotted trim, siding, or soffit during the estimate rather than treating it as a separate job. Reviewers repeatedly describe the crew finding and repairing wood rot as part of an exterior repaint, and owner Kevin Cook is often on site to walk the work with you.
